Masking/Rotoscoping in Sony Vegas Pro

I have two video tracks in Sony Vegas, the bottom one a video of myself and the top one is a video with its compositing mode set to screen as it has a black background, what I am wanting to do is erase the middle part of the top track so that the top tracks video doesnt show over the top of the video clip in the track below in the middle of it, I know in Photoshop it would be the mask tool that I need to use or the eraser. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this as I have never tried anything like this before.

Masking is in the pan and crop window...

Masking is extremely inefficient to Chroma Keying. Green screen or whatever colour of screen you have, it works well if its contrasting.
