Little confused!

I would assume people say that because:

1) Apply to a network
2) get rejected, if they had gotten accepted they would have signed right away
3) now they learn about how the basic contract for previously mentioned network is actually s**t , therefore they are 'glad they got rejected' because it turned out be 'dodged a bullet' situation...

perhaps link us to the post(s) in question?
Thanks for all the info guys! Really does clear things up!

Here is the most recent one that I came across which confused me but there are more which I saw in the last couple of days, which if i find i will post here:

Yup, exactly what I said... the original posted had said:

I join 5 months ago socialblade network (RPM), but I'm very disappointed, just for their revenue...
For exemple, four days ago I had 1000 views, I win exactly 0.19$.
Moreover, they take 40% of it, so just 0.12$ for me for 1000 views... Finally I have to convert them in €...

which is what they were reacting to.

I would guess OP had a ton of unmonetized views too, but can't tell for sure. Thet also might have been non-english... etc. Basically all of those points hurts CPM.

Yeah I'd hazard a guess its not his CPM thats low but its his % of views that are monetized.

Yeah makes sense..

So guys I've been seeing around the forums lately people mentioning stuff like that if you sign up with a network you legally have to sign the contract if they accept you? Is that true?

In the future, I don't want to apply to networks, get accepted and then not be able to change my mind!

Can someone please clear things up?
Depends on the network,ATV makes you sign the contract while applying whereas others send you a contract to read over, after you apply.
