So guys I've been seeing around the forums lately people mentioning stuff like that if you sign up with a network you legally have to sign the contract if they accept you? Is that true?

In the future, I don't want to apply to networks, get accepted and then not be able to change my mind!

Can someone please clear things up?

You don't have to sign if you don't want to.. Think of applying to a network like applying to a job.. they may say you are hired.. but until you show up and fill out the paperwork you don't really work there.
You can apply and be accepted but you aren't locked in till you sign a contract.

Thanks for the info! But can you explain why some people have said stuff like 'glad my channel got rejected' implying that if they got accepted they would have to sign?

Hmmm I have no idea. If they didn't want to be partnered why would they apply for it?
I have seen guys who have been accepted by multiple networks and then picked the one they thought would suit them best.

That's what a contract means, you can't change your mind until it's over. Their are no benefits without a contract.

Because they might not know what the heck they are talking about. Why would you HAVE to sign? Unless you sign you are not a part of a legitimate network. I had gotten accepted in several networks, picked the one I wanted and signed their contract.

being on a contract isint bad really, most contracts are yearly and are enjoyable because you get some new experiences with different networks!

I would assume people say that because:

1) Apply to a network
2) get rejected, if they had gotten accepted they would have signed right away
3) now they learn about how the basic contract for previously mentioned network is actually s**t , therefore they are 'glad they got rejected' because it turned out be 'dodged a bullet' situation...

perhaps link us to the post(s) in question?
