Just reached 100 Subs and my own custom url!

It changed because tons of small accounts were taking custom urls from the get go, and channels with the same name were unable to take them because they were claimed. It also costs Youtube more than just generating a random URL.

I would think the best plan would be for Youtube to auto delete unused channels once per month. Like unused as in not just not uploading but like not comment,liking etc.
I mean I get the change now but wish it was more done via like forums like you can't make thread unless you post 20 times that would slow down the wait while at the same time not just hand urls out. That or lower it to 10 subs since 100 these days is a lot.
