Its funny how partners are becoming obsolete.

Gisikw asked: I'm curious as to why you think YouTube ought to do that?

If YouTube wants One Channel so that everything looks
nice and pretty, then why not let creators make thumbnails
that are nice and pretty. If it is true that new creators must
monetize their videos in order to enable the thumbnail
function, maybe they don't want to monetize their videos.
Maybe it's just somebody who wants to share a home video
with family and the thumbnail images that are automatically
selected aren't very good.

I am so confused. I've been trying to figure out who Social Blade is with regards to the other networks :(

Are they part of RPM? The reason I ask is I have just spotted the "Apply" button on my Social Blade page which hasnt been there before, but I dont know if thats just because RPM have changed their tactics and are signing up everyone and I just havent noticed it before now..........

No, Socialblade is not a Network. They get revenue by referring people to RPM. As for whether they are part of RPM, I do not know if they are related companies.

So this is likely to be the same crappy deal as everyone has been getting recently?

Thanks bud, appreciate the help !

Applying on Social Blade just directs your application to RPM and if you agree to the contract set you will be partnered with RPM on the same deal that any other people applying directly through RPM receive.

The only ones grumpy about this are the ones losing exclusivity to the coveted banner, a throwback to the quality presentation of MySpace. It's no wonder they want to get rid of it.

Maybe now we can go back to people either having a good channel or not. Instead of the artificial and often wrong assumption of a quality benchmark in the partnership process.
