Is Vimeo worth it?

It would be easy enough to load up my videos onto Vimeo and other sites too. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on:

1. Will this negatively affect my YouTube viewcounts and revenue
2. Is it worth it - I'm only making negligible money from YT at the moment so I'm guessing I'd be making virtually zero on these smaller sites.

Are you a content creator as in No gamer / no vlogger than it's worth it on vimeo. People on Vimeo are directors, students etc.
not sure about other sites since youtube is in the first place.
 
Thanks for your reply, Mr Blue. Yes - I'm a content creator - of educational videos. So you'd say I might as well upload to vimeo too?
 
Vimeo doesn't have any sort of affiliate program. You can't earn any money on Vimeo. You might want to try Break.com.

That's not true. You can sell your video's actually. Make people pay an X amount of money so they can view the video or an X amount of money so that they may download your video.
 
Never tried Vimeo, but at this moment I just like youtube good enough as a video sharing site so I will not use any other anytime soon :p
