Is my banner positioned funny?

Here's an example of what your banner is going to look like on different resolutions. http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&topic=16630&answer=2972003 Your logo is always going to stay on the left side of the banner in the same spot, even as the banner stretches and reveals more. So if you have a border around your logo, it's going to move around as you change the window size (you can look at the Vzauce photo as an example of the avatar relative to his banner as the screen sizes change).
But if you make a border around your avatar in desktop resolution it will dissappear in other resolutions and just not have the border like mine does

Unfortunately, that's not the case. I wish it was that simple (I've played around with this a lot in the past). Your banner is a good example of this (sorry to point it out :p) but the positioned elements like the RPM logo don't work right on my 13" Macbook Air screen because you probably designed it on a 15" monitor (or at least a larger one than mine). So they don't always disappear on smaller monitors (if my monitor was even smaller than it is, then it would) but as it is right now, I'm just seeing half of it.

Ok i guess your right but for me anything like mobile and stuff it just dissappears
Yeah, that's just one of the pains of the new layout. It's actually really annoying having to design for everything. You just have to keep testing it everywhere and see how it looks and acts. Oh well, what can you do? :D
