Hey hi, me again. I just have one short question: Is let's play niche still dead on YouTube in early 2025? We obviously have like TheRadBrad / something like that is name, let's player with 10 million subs , but he only plays newest games , and others - never saw any other Let's player got it that far. I saw all my favourite Let's players from Pokemon niche have shut down their channels and retiring ... But yeah, starting let's play channel in 2025, worth it ? I know that gaming documentaries are a thing now, but I'm just not interested into producing videos which I'm personally not into .... I'm more like a let's player person, and guides person ..... So , any thoughts back? Thanks.

My personal favorite are the calm sit down just playing a game series which a lot of the YouTubers who went Retired/Semi-Retired started taking that approach with I like just forgetting about the algorithm and being chill so I guess that could be considered let's play.

I don't think it will ever be fully "dead" just not in mass quantity like it was.

Let’s Play isn’t dead, just more competitive. If you're into it, go for it! Passion and consistency can still make it work. Focus on what you enjoy and people will find you.

I don't think it'll ever die out. Every time a new game comes out people hop all over the playthroughs. Or if a sequel comes out, a lot of people go back and play the previous games in the series.

^^ This and of course can't forget the rise of indie games there's been a lot of them
