Hey hi all, new old member here. I just have short question: we all know that YT algorithm is just garbage. But lately - I see on my front page a lot of like ... 2 months old channels with less than 100 views per video with upload less than week ago ... So , bunch of new small channels I mostly get recommended in front page. Did YT do something about this and they just promote small channels all-over the place, or is it just me? Thanks.

It's not just you, but the reasoning isn't what you think it is.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but this is to encourage more creators to step up their game.
PewDiePie is doing videos less, and is "quiet quitting" YouTube. YouTube has been shadowbanning the right-wingers, so they're trying to even the playing field by cutting the requirements to be monetized in half - like what it used to be 1,000 subscribers required to be monetized, it's now 500 subscribers. There other requirements alongside this, but for the most part, they're "easier" to achieve now.
This is to encourage more creators to get their videos out there, and produce videos.
So, so... Step up your game in YouTube.

Still better than one channel random exploding in half a year time with one video , and praying that you will be one of them. So I see this as upgrade.

In my former niche of YT it is impossible to make it without shoutout from someone bigger. That is the reason why I quit in the first place. In my niche there is like 5 - 10 guys doing the same thing allover , and always same people, no one new. And when that new guy comes in , they like to report his videos with that 0 star rating 5h1t, so they gate keep niche to themselves. So yeah, I see this as an absolute win against those guys.

Just so you know, there is a culture war between the left and the right. YouTube admires Netflix, YouTube is in California, which is a left/Democrat stronghold at the moment. So, all these reports are coming from the jealous people, mostly the left. Which is why when PewDiePie did the salute, he got "canceled" and scrutinized. But yes, I agree with a lot of what you said, a lot of your sentiment. However, this doesn't mean rest on your laurels, this means step it up. The left wants a Joe Rogan, despite not understanding ..THEY had a "Joe Rogan." It's Joe himself. It's Tim Pool. It's Tulsi, it's Elon Musk. It's RFK Jr. But the left, what they want is the far, far.. far... far. left. The ones that firebomb buildings.
