Instant Monetization for Network Partners Ending

When I read this last night, I was half asleep, and it looked much worse than it actually is. I guess it doesn't matter for me, at least for now. But still, losing insta-monetization is something that would kick me in the gut. I suppose we just have to see how/where this goes from here. Maybe things will change back in the future.

So channels under networks who wind up being categorized as Affiliates and lose instant monetization but get to see how much of their ad revenue is Adsense and how much (or little) the networks add value with their 'higher paying ads'. Those categorized as Managed get to keep instant monetization. So Managed don't get to see the same ad income information?

Also, I have had the ability to schedule uploads for a long time. I don't know what it takes nowadays to have this ability. If you know, please post.

On the same note, what's it take to have to ability to have 'unlisted' uploads? (waiting for monetization to be approved)

Takes pretty much nothing. As far as I remember: if it's a brand new channel you have to wait for about a month and the usual in good standing blah blah.

So this actually sounds like a great idea EXCEPT that I am now worried gameplay videos may not be monetized as often if you are chosen to be an "affiliate" which I most likely will be... very worried about this as before I was partnered I had a VERY hard time monetizing my gameplay videos...

People being held accountable for what they put on the web doesn't sound like a bad thing. The new structure may suck for some but just look at the various complaints floating aroudn these forums. Maybe it's a good thing.

I'm not even part of a network and don't have enough views to get cared to monetize. Lol.

Just the words "Under review" gives me the creeps.
I know. when i was with adsense almost nothing got approved. robot kept saying junk like not enough info or something. If that's the system im going back to then anything related to video games isn't going to get ads on it.. not like i have the sub base to actually make money from this stuff but pretty much yt is saying no money for small channels unless ya make vlogs =p
