I was on the Front Page for 5 days straight last week!

"If you can prove that the content in your video is in the public domain, you may be able monetize it on YouTube depending on the scope, limitations, and commercial permissions of the license."

I looked into it, I think I'm good. Right?

And do you know the commercial permissions of the licence? Does it state that it can be sold or monetised anywhere within the state laws where it was recorded? If it does then by all means, make some cash I would! But if not I really wouldn't risk it.
 
What Frankie said. I personally as a serious content creator would not pursue this for personal gain. This is public, yes, but if you have any question of a doubt as to whether or not you can use this, err on the safe side. If your adsense gets banned, it's a lifelong ban unless you have another SSN and name to use.

Since your video(s) are gaining a lot of views, you should maybe seek legal counsel

I'm too honest to be a lawyer. That being said, Legal counsel may cost more than the revenue generated from the video itself.
