How to make money on mobile views?

I just checked the analytics for my video that has 500,000 views and 90% of the views came from mobile devices and because the majority of mobile views are not monetized I hardly made any money on the video. I am not part of a network just a youtube partner, is there a way to make money on mobile views? What is the point of having my videos monetized if most people watch youtube videos on mobile devices and you don't get paid for that, it seems that youtube is way behind on this.
 
The new YouTube app enables ads, but just remember that not everyone has the new app. Also a video with 500,000 views, and 90% of those views are from mobile sounds like it got hit by bot. Not saying it is, but usually when most of the views are from mobile is a good sign it's botted.
 
Just a note for what people are saying: the only ads that play on mobile are the commercials, maybe only the unskippable ones. You may have to be an actual partner to get that, I don't know. I believe there's an option for this in the claim YouTube options, where you can specifically say that you want ads on mobile views.

Yes that.s right, there are no "annotation type ads" on phones... yet. I forgot to say this... but it's also the ones that you can skip that plays.
