How to Make Awesome Thumbnails

I'm curious, is it better to keep a series of thumbnails uniform/similar? Or create totally original stuff altogether for each part of the series?

Just speaking strictly as a viewer, I like uniform thumbnails. It's easier to take on my eyes and I know what to expect. Even if the subjects are as different as night and day, if the thumbnails match up I'm more inclined to watch ALL your videos.

You absolutely want to keep the thumbnails familiar (be sure to include your logo) so they look like they are from the same channel, but within that guideline, make them as different as possible.
