I would just reapply in the future, maybe come up with some view count or subscriber count to hit before reapplying, continue improving and releasing your videos and then eventually I believe you will be an asset to them, its the way it works and I cannot see them turning down anyone who could be making them good money :)
 
I will probably try it with my new channel that I am doing with a friend, I will upload a few more videos first...
