Hehe I am going to comment on this although I really am not pleased with the size of this partnership thread it is what is wrong with youtube in every way these days because people are stopping to make videos for the creativity and looking at this as a way to make money first and then maybe be creative after. Anyhow that is a topic for some other thread.
In business when you can't accomodate a customer, but would like them to return one is always courteous. So you send them to someone else with a decent reputation that can help them. The competition aspect is overplayed here as well (another issue with youtube now its become a race of popularity for many people and not about good video or creativity ... *tries to stop ranting*) Companies often work together to help each other along the way. Unless you have an exclusive monopoly on something its always good business to have as good a public image as possible. So helping other youtubers to seek their goal is in their best interest to keep youtubers around period.
