How to create a good intro + outro (Essential to self-branding!0

Hi everyone! It's been a month since I've started my channel and I now think it's essential to have a decent intro/outro, in order to brand myself and to get people to associate my channel with it. Any ideas as to how to do this? eg: what tools to use?

I think I'm creative enough to find my own stuff but if there are any experienced Youtubers who can suggest a (free) good editing website or something that would be great!!

Piggybacking off of iMSaiyan GIMP is honestly one of the best free photo editing sources out there. If you want great editing software tho photoshop is great and there are ways to get it free
