Depends on what you're comfortable on doing dude, personally a bit of commentary helps to add a bit more taste to the video, and people can engage on what you're saying as well as the actual video
 
the thing to really think about while doing things like top 5's is that there allot of similar content already out there so try your best to be unique but don't try to hard or it will be to forced and always try to bring allot of your personality and flair when making commentary vid's to really make your videos stand out
