How many clicks is too many??

That is great, however CrazyPUA asked about views not ads.

Duh you shouldn't click on your own ads. I doubt 1 is enough to get you banned (Google's motto is "Don't be evil" after all) but if you click on 5 and you only had 10 or 20 legitimate clicks beyond that (coming from other users) I can very much see them banning you.

Yeah 3 of the views in my last video were probably mine, maybe 4; the video got 132 views now, so I guess Im good then.

Wow! that was really nice that you got your adsense account back. I heard is near to impossible.
It was down to the fact I knew him in there, he pulled a few strings etc.....but he told me that if you wait 12 months, their systems will no longer recognise your address as invalid if your account never reached a payout!

Don't worry about those views. If YouTube wanted, they could very, very easily just not count your own views on videos you've upoloaded. The fact they don't do so clearly means they are fine with it. Obviously this doesn't mean you should intentionally refresh 100 times... but I think that is rather self evident.

I gotta agree there, usually the people who are clicking to edit , comment etc are okay. It is usually the people refreshing the f*****g page 1million times that dig themselves into a hole!

You can't get banned for clicking on your own videos.
Now, if you click on ads of create multiple accounts to add viewership that's a different story. Youtube is able to differentiate your own views. They simply subtract it later or don't count it at all.

EDIT: I saw that comment about the Google employee. I guess you CAN get banned, but that seems kind of dumb to put that in place because when you start out you're not making enough. Nonetheless, good to know!

Don't even risk it, edit everything ,reply to everything in video manager. better safe than sorry :)

This may be true if you view your video 100 times but viewing your video 3 times will not result in an adsense ban.

I doubt just viewing your own videos is any sort of problem unless you view them some unnatural number of times. At that point it would get pretty noticeable.

Think of it as having Adsense on your website. You don't get penalized for watching your own ads, only when you click on them. Same goes for videos.
