How many clicks is too many??

CrazyPUA

I Love YTtalk
I'm wondering how many own views in your videos count as too many and then can get your account disabled. Personally I know I have 3 views in my own videos due to adding annotations and checking comments for the first time. I would really hate to get my account banned or disabled in the future.

Well good to know. I didn't do it the right way at the beginning, but now I know not to mess with it the wrong way.

Take it from a person with experience, you are more than likely to get banned doing that then using a bot! (Don't start using one haha)

That is ridiculous. If YouTube operated remotely like that, they wouldn't have editing options on the video page.
I Have a family friend who works in google Ireland, he is in the advert sector and I asked him personally why I got banned last year and he told me this in exact words "When a person is in their first 3 months of owning an Adsense account, every single view is monitored, it is an initiation stage and many people make the mistake of giving views to the ad, the automatic bot then senses this as invalid clicks, and bans them. the reason why we can't release the reason why is because people would tell us to change the bot etc, but we have this in place for many reasons."

He managed to get my adsense back and I am here now, but that is from Mark McEwan, A Google employee from Ireland who told me this!

That is great, however CrazyPUA asked about views not ads.

Duh you shouldn't click on your own ads. I doubt 1 is enough to get you banned (Google's motto is "Don't be evil" after all) but if you click on 5 and you only had 10 or 20 legitimate clicks beyond that (coming from other users) I can very much see them banning you.

Yeah I was talking about ad views :) Youtube to be specific, When they are seeing if the money you are earning from ad views is legit (15th of every month) they will decide if they see a flaw. If they don't you survive another month of the Hunger Games: YT edition!
