Editing can be time-consuming, but no matter how long it takes, just remember that however/whenever you finalize your video, it will remain in that state forever, and that's how future audiences will receive it. Which is my way of saying, no matter how long it may take to edit something -- and for me personally sometimes it takes months -- it's still worth it 
So don't fret if it feels like you're spending hours and hours and hours on editing; I guarantee it's worth it.
