How long did it take you to get your first check?

I am only half-partnered on my sketch channel. And if I figure right, it will take me almost twelve years to get my first 100 dollar check xD Oh well. Good thing I wasn't relying on that to be my only check :D

Btw, can you link with paypal to your adsense? And if so, will they send you the money as you get it, instead of by 100 dollars.

I got partnered in January, after youtubing for 4 years :D I had been getting recruited by a bunch networks for about a year before that, but always felt a strange paranoia about the whole thing. I got my first payment a few days ago, which was a fair few hundred bucks, made me pretty happy at the fact I can pretty much facilitate playing video games by playing video games :D

I think it was a year or something. I reach £60 ($100) in about 3 months now with Adsense but that's from a few old channels of mine not this one or my second channel.

Pretty sure it was about a year since it wasn't easy to get into the youtube partner program back then. Once we were invited into the program, we hit the threshold in the first month.

Damn man. I've seen you guys around YouTube before, cool to see you post here. I hope to reach where you guys are at some day.

OT: My partnership with RPM was finalized February 18th and thanks to a couple of my videos going semi-viral I'll receive quite a pretty penny at the end of this month.

Congratulations! I remember the feeling of those first couple videos starting to take off. when I started, it was up to Google to decid if they wanted to offer revenue sharing on selected videos. I could have a popular video and it would not get an invitation. It was very frustrating and much different nowadays.

Yeah I feel you, I've heard countless times how hard it used to be to get partnered. You have a pretty big channel though, wow. I actually made a video sans commentary three years ago that got 250k views really quick, (that I deleted) unfortunately it was just for fun and I didn't know what I was doing.

Now the real difficulty (at least for me) is getting my content exposure in a sea of unremarkable gaming channels.

.

While it may have been frustrating, I believe that it made me work harder and improve certain aspects.

Too many collectors and YouTubers have a sense of entitlement rather than actually working on making presentations that viewers want to watch.
