How long before you hit 1,000 subscribers? (no longer updated!)

How can I hit 1000 subs quicker?

  • Make higher quality vids

  • Interact more

  • Make more vids, quantity is better than quality!

My channel exists since 2013 and I'm currently at 101 subscribers after I started about 2 years ago putting a little effort in it and uploading about three times a year :D It'll be a long way haha

It took me one month. This was just a few months ago, so it's still very possible in 2019. My lessons: 1) Find a niche 2) Don't bother with SEO and self promotion 3) Work on improving your video and content only, don't get caught up with other social media.

I can take anywhere from 3+ years to 10+ years and NEVER and that's a fact. Depends on many many many factors. Most YouTubers quit between 3 to 6 Months after reality sinks in and they find out it's no cake walk.

I first started posing vids just to show my friends & family, in the US, where I was living, in the Philippines. My first vid was March or April 2013, but I did no promotion or even thought of myself as a YouTuber. I was just posting for them. 3 years later, in June of 2016 I got an invite from YT to monetize. I had 37 vids, 147 subs, and 43,000 views. That was when I actually started working the channel.

From there it was 1 year to reach 1,000, August 2017 (160 vids). I currently have 2,600 (and 400 vids). It is slow but steady, about 80 or 90 subs a month. I still do almost no promotion... I really should...

I've had my channel since 2006, I've only really been seriously uploading and promoting it since January 2018 though. Currently on 460 subscribers which I'm feeling relatively Ok about.

I should have reached 1k last week in exactly one year, but youtube froze the counter since 950, I got 439 subs on the last 28 days and now it's only 14 more since Sunday but on 28 days the number doesn't decrease. I don't understand what's happening.
