How do I get custom thumbnails?

I've Got It
Simple question, how do I use it for my videos? I'm stuck using random ones generated from my videos.

If they're under fair use, I think that means you CAN monetize them :) But he's right, you need to monetize to get thumbnails.
 
I got a strike on my account on one of my videos, so I rather not take the risk. Thanks anyways.

There are people who upload songs, never backlinks to the original song, gets a couple million views, and nothing happens to their account. I upload a video, backlinks to original song, get 1.5k views, and Google strikes my account. Guess I have to stick with pre-generated thumbnails.

They have the rights to. Both Fullscreen and Maker Studios have the rights to upload covers of every song in the Universal Music Group, and that is the good majority of popular music. You can also buy the rights to a soundtrack for a couple hundred dollars.
