Considering ATV accepts literally everyone, I don't think that making his videos worse would make them think "Gee whizz, this fellow has lost the quality content associate with this network! Begone!" :p Plus it'd just anger his fans
 
As far as I know, to terminate contract, one of the parties must not complying to the conditions of the contract, that is, for example, when ATV doesn't pay you the money within the time specified in the contract.

They've got a 2-year lock-in, and a 100$ payout threshold. If he doesn't earn the 100$, I'm not sure if they're obliged to pay anything.
