okay so atm my channel is BARE minimum with nothing special at all, can anyone suggest what i need to make it more professional and hopefully help bring in more sub's and views?

i'm handy on photoshop so suggestions welcome!

Make a channel background and a good profile picture. You can also make an intro and an outro. People love to stay on good looking channels (including me)

Id set your default tab to the featured one to begin with, you dont want to give people more work to see your videos, as of now they land on a page on things you have been doing on YouTube rather than your own work, you want that in their faces first
