Help! My audio has static!!

So I finally got a new mic and as soon as I use it for a new video it has terrible static. What should I do to get rid of or fix it? It's such a pain and I would really be grateful for the help thanks.

You can try cut of static in post by EQing the audio. Otherwise, make sure you've got the mic set up correctly and so on. If still have it then may have to get a new one.

What kind of mic did you get? Anyway going into a program like audacity and using noise removal could help reduce if not completely remove the static but I would check to make sure your mic is properly set up.
