Has a partnership helped your channel grow?

I've read how some people have benefited from joining a network while others have seen no change in traffic, subs, etc. I've applied to some networks and received their pamphlet that states all the reasons why I should join their network and most of them also advertised "increased views". For those of you who are in a network, how has it (or hasn't) helped your channel?

No, it has enabled some fun functions on my channel like Livestream that got me some subs, but it didn't help me grow that much or almost at all.

My channel is growing like mad and none of it is due to my network.

Unless you are very large and have a unique set up, networks will not help you grow/ get exposure / get view or subs.

Networks/Partnership generally won't help your channel much in terms of growth.
This. That's not their job, that's your job. They will get you better ads and might talk to YouTube for you. But they don't help you grow.

So you are all telling me... that partnering with machinima... won't make me internet famous? MY LIFE IS OVER!!!!!

On my original channel, I grew significantly from partnering with SocialBlade, because Urgo (The founder/CEO) featured one of my videos, and it gained me a good number of subs. That was a random uncommon experience though. Their job is to provide you with the tools to grow your channel yourself. You need to do all the work. :)

When a network has thousands of partners, there is no way that they can give significant help to everybody. Let's say that they tweeted your channel to promote you. Well, everybody who follows the network is part of the network! You need to find a way to get your video in front of the masses and not rely on the networks or anybody else.
