Google Adwords

What about Reddit advertising? I know their service also has it, but not sure if it's worth it.
It depends on how you advertises on Reddit, reddit can be a good and even a bad place to share your videos. If your videos fit in a certain thread than you might reach a few people.

For those who use or used Adwords to advertise their content how is it done? Do you advertise a specific video and then you upload that video or do you advertise your channel in general and you create a small video only for that purpose and you add something "if you want to see more visit mu channel?"

How long should the ad be? Because I've seen some people upload their Youtube video, but what if I upload something long like 5 min? Isn't that too long?

Those are the doubts I have about it, could you help me please?

Thank you all.

You can advertise any video you want from your Youtube page. If you want a video to get exposure, advertise that, if it's your channel, use a channel trailer. Be careful what countries you select when it asks for regions because Mexico and some oddball countries have clickfarms that exist to click on links for some weird kind of scheme. I'm not sure how prevalent clickfarms are now, but I've used Adwords and other social media promotion and noticed an explosion of interaction from certain regions with no actual interaction. I stick with english speaking countries and Japan.

Thank you.

I have a question.
What does this cost refers to? The total of Ad clicks? The total campaign cost that we choose when we're creating the Ad is not related to this, am I correct? Thats separate.
Thanks!

You use one video. Some use Adwords to promote their very best video and others make a short channel trailer for this. I have to say I have tried both and for me Adwordshas NOT been a huge succes. Maybe I am a jerk with the settings or maybe I just make bad videos, or maybe people dont give a F about my channel or content:) No seriously, for me and my channel there are MUCH better ways to promote and that is my point. Adwords is NOT for everyone;)

Yeah, adwords really hasn't done much for me overall. Any subscribers I've gotten from it have immediately become inactive, so I'm considering turning my campaign off for good.

I literally just keep it going to act as a beacon to my channel since I don't really know how to promote that well otherwise.
Thank you.

The cost (I believe) is the amount per click up to a certain amount each day. I don't entirely know how the bidding to get your video seen works, but you pay a certain amount of money for each click on your ad up to a certain limit per day.
