Goals for 2018 (thread locked)

Year after year i was to pass 1k subscribers - it took YT policy change to step up my game and get that. So I guess I need some new ones. 100,000 for the silver play button is a great longterm goal, but I doubt that is obtainable this year. Is 10,000 reasonable? Ultimately I'd like to attend events at YouTube space in NYC but if I recall most events require 10k subs in order to attend.

Ok, ok. How about something reasonable? Maintain at least 1 video release per week for the year. I think that should be obtainable.

For 2018 I'd absolutely love to not fall out of posting consistently, at some point begin posting twice a week, and hopefully reach 300 subs!

Recently i just made 100 subs and im super excited it about that. My plans for this year would be to at least get 200 or more. If anybody wants to collaborate hmu my channel name is HHUD123

my initial goal was to reach 500 subscribers but i'll get that pretty soon at the rate i'm growing so i might shoot for 1k

Congrats on over 400 subs tho! Love your accent and your editing if you keep doing what you're doing and constantly improve you'll get to 1000 subs in no time!

I love having a goal, and although it's really wonderful to want to reach a specific amount of subs, I think you should keep your goals as something that's within your control. So I agree, posting once a week is good! Then aim to do 2 videos a week next year, or reevaluate where you are in 6 months and try for 2 videos a week then!

10,000 subscribers and 3,000,000 total channel views. Hint: It isn't going to happen. But setting goals that are easily obtained isn't for me.

I was being a bit tongue and cheek with the first bit. While they're long term goals (as always) I don't think they're accomplishable in 1 year. Maintaining 1 a week would be fine. My channel revolves around travel so there's some down time to make it harder on that goal. Hopefully I have enough stockpile footage from last year to generate some content for those gaps.

I just really want to start creating again. I'd like to up my numbers a little, but putting a specific number out there is going to put too much pressure on me so I just rather not. Is that bad? I just want to find/get a new camera, and just DO IT, hopefully consistently. Once I do that for a while then I will worry about whatever comes with it. I'm not really in a position to ask for much.
