To answer the OP.. my gaming channel is under them , partnered in December. They put me in VlogUnion which makes no sense as it's a gaming channel but the money has been much less than expected... 2 dollars for about 5k views one month I believe. But I know a lot of people use adblock and what not. I believe FS has helped with channel growth as you're automatically in the Youtube Partner Promotion program which (I think?) makes your videos show up more so you get more traffic. My gaming channel isnt all that active so I can't complain too much I suppose. the 100 dollar threshold is annoying but it's pretty standard in most networks. As they accept anyone you can hardly expect promotion from them as they have over 10,000 partners.
