My main tip is to not give up. A ton of YouTubers that I've seen in the past 2 years of having an active channel on the platform have given up after a couple of months. The hardest thing to do, it seems, is consistently upload videos to YouTube on a regular schedule. So in 6 months time, when you've made some progress, don't throw in the towel because it's not happening fast enough or that you're not getting as much attention as you thought you might by that time. Building a subscriber base takes consistent time and effort.
