Recently I got a comment from someone who used to be subscribed to my channel when it was first becoming mildly popular. He said "your channel is dieing out". Spelling aside, I wondered what he was talking about. When I asked him, he said it was because I don't get as many views as I used to, and that I probably didn't notice because it went down gradually. But because I still seemed active enough, he'd subscribe again.
It got me wondering about the appearance of success. When someone looks at a channel, what about it gives off the appearance of it doing well? What signs would tell a viewer that your channel was dying out versus thriving?
