Enable YouTube Monetization for Custom Thumbnails with different Region

Not too sure, but I think you might be able too. Probably not, but google needs to understand we move to other countries lol
 
Well firstly you don't "Monetize" your videos as a partner anyway. You "claim" the rights to them.
Second, after 30 days of monetization (Youtube Parntership) active you should begin to receive branding features with Thumbnails being one of the first, so I believe anyway.

I know about the partner monetization/claiming.

So basically I'd have to be a YouTube Partner for 30 days then I get the thumbnails. But would I be able to disable the monetization or would I lose the thumbnail feature? Or could I stay YouTube Partner for X-months and when I think I finally want to be in a Network, I can disable monetization from YouTube and get partnered?

Also, my question is about the account's region switching to get monetization features (thumbnails).

Just to be sure, I'd say you should stay with that since I've never not been a network partner, so I'm not actually sure.
But to be sure you don't lose this feature go with your suggestion.
 
It seems to have worked. I changed my region to USA enabled monetization, got the thumbnail feature, disabled monetization on all of my videos and changed my region back to Switzerland. and I now have custom thumbnails. Let's see how that goes :)
