Enable YouTube Monetization for Custom Thumbnails with different Region

Hi Guys

First, sorry for the long title.

Okay, as some of you already know, I am from Switzerland and we cannot monetize videos if we aren't partnered. I mainly don't want to monetize the videos, but have custom thumbnails, which I think make a channel more branded and recognized. So if I change my Accounts Region to, let's say USA, I could enable monetization. Would this bring any problems with it? As I don't want to monetize the videos yet, but get the custom thumbnails. Would I be able to partner with a network later on, or would this be not possible anymore?

I think they enable it after having an account for more than 30 days, check your settings (where it shows your copyright strikes, etc.)

That wasn't really my question man. I know I can enable it after 30 days. The thing is, I am from Switzerland (there is NO monetization!). BUT if I would change my region to USA, I could enable it.

You mean if I enable monetization and then disable it I also get the thumbnails? So I could maybe even change my country back? And still have the thumbs?

They can't pay you, unless you have an American Bank account... You can ask someone to open one up for you, someone you can trust.

Well, I think so(must check this too on my channel)

But you don't need to give your real location/information about you on youtube. It doesn't matter. You only need to give YOUR REAL country and/or city when you're creating an adsense account and/or joining to a network.

Still not my question. I do NOT want to monetize (I wouldn't be able to anyway, since I'm from Switzerland, except with a network partnership). But if I would change my account's region to USA, I would be able to enable monetization and get the custom thumbnails feature. BUT, if I later on would like to have a network partnership, would I still be able to change my region back & get partnered.
