Does RPM automatically claim every video you have?

If I upload a short clip and it has a 30 second ad at the start. This would probably annoy many people. Also I don't want to have ads on EVERY single video, specially not the trueview ads.

I should say I just did a quick test and what happens is this: when you get linked they do an 'auto update' on your channel which automatically claims anything currently there (which is what I was talking about before).

After that, the choice to claim appears to be yours. So whatever you have now will be monetised without choice, then you can monetise your own stuff thereafter (and choose what adverts)
 
Okay so basically the videos I have uploaded now, would be claimed, but I can choose the ones that I upload after linking. Well I guess I have to think about that a little bit more. Thanks a lot for the help Frankie.

They must have changed then because when I was with them, the auto claim happened every 3-7 days :p

Oh I've not experienced that yet. Well Jos mentioned something about them not doing it so perhaps that's what he means. They're just not doing the periodic update any more. That being said, whether you are expected to claim all videos I am not sure (check your contract OP)

You were responding to the original poster but in my case, I am not part of any Networks, if I'm doing a short video, 3 minutes or less, I don't allow advertising. Just like TV, I don't want to see an advertisement every few minutes so I do the same for my viewers.
