does it really matter WHEN you post your video as far as time of day? 8am? 4pm? Also how about sharing videos? sometimes i haven't gotten around to sharing a video for a few days after it has been posted. does that hurt the views on that video?

It does matter when you post a video, it really depends on audience as well, individual investigations necessary to find optimal time and day your videos are best received by your subscribers. It is ok to share video later, not instantly.

I like to check for sub videos first thing in the morning, so if people upload like I do (at night right before they go to sleep) I'll likely watch them first thing in the morning when I open up Youtube.
