Do video thumbnails matter?

Of course they matter. Just like humans perceive other humans firstly by their looks since thats what they see first, same goes for thumnbail. Good thumbnail = chances are the video is too. Might not be, but thats how we think, hence why good thumbnails get more clicks.

You see, that is why I need advice from people like you. I am totally different. I am not swayed by shinny labels. The only thing that impresses me are cold hard tangible facts. The shinier the label, the more I think the product might stink, because why else would the creator be trying so hard to get me to make an impulse decision based on looks alone? That is why I am here asking, because I can't trust myself on this. When I make flashy graphics for my channel videos like the ones below, it turns me off. It makes me afraid I am driving my viewers away.

Thanks. I am actually not using photoshop. I am using a very old discontinued Microsoft program called Photodraw. It is very powerful and still runs on windows 10. It is like a million times more user friendly then Photoshop. Not sure why Microsoft dropped it. I bought it new in 2000. It's old, but it serves all my needs, so why change. You know what I mean?

i believe that a good thumbnail is important it draws the viewer to your video, obviously it should be relevant to the video you are trying to promote :)
