Discrepancy in view count?

I'm trying to determine my lifetime view count. In the YouTube Creator App, if I select Views and then select Lifetime I see there are 9,892 lifetime video views. Almost close enough to start monetizing.

Then, if I use the regular YouTube app or the website and select My Channel>About, it shows 8,052 lifetime video views. I ran a few AdWord campaigns. Do those views maybe not count?

It's possible that you see a real time count before you see it publicly on your channel. I noticed this before with subscribers and views as well, where I had more subscribers and views according to my Creator Studio than I did according to my About page.
