Differences between Sony Vegas & Adobe After Effects

I'm a Sony Vegas user, but I recently heard about After Effects, so I'd like to know what's the differences with Vegas, the pros and the cons. Could you tell me, guys?

After Effects is more likely for adding special video effects, such as rotoscoping, 3D tracking, special color correction etc. Sony (now MAGIX) Vegas Pro, on the other hand, is an advanced non-linear video editing software with lots of options.

So basically:
AE - more into effects, SVP - more into editing
So I recommend still using SVP and occasionally adding some effects in AE.
HOWEVER: Adobe Premiere (which can associate with AE) is an editing software similar to Sony Vegas.

I see. Thank you so much for the explanation, dude. I really appreciate it.
