It appears to me that they are allowing you to use the music but the entity who owns the rights to those songs are getting the advertising revenue.
If they are allowing you to use it, I wouldn't think that you'd get a copyright strike and be found in violation of community standards.
Somebody please confirm or correct my info.
They have the choice to block videos if they so wish to, but they haven't - generally meaning they don't mind you using it but they must take the revenue generated. So you're correct.
