Copyright on video? (Question)

Hi, I am working on a video as of right now. And I wanted to use some clips from movies, now my question is. Could I use these clips without getting strikes on my account? And also without monetizing these videos?

I am now sure which films yet. Also I am not using the audio if that makes any difference.

Hi there.

How are you planning to use these film clips? You are very likely to either get Content ID'd or a copyright strike if they are from a commercial studio. It doesn't matter whether or not you monetize the video. The only way to reliably avoid either penalty is to get written permission from the production studio, scriptwriter, and main producer to use the clips you are planning to put into your video. All three of these entities will hold various copyrights in the movie.
