How should I decide what kind of youtuber I want to be. Gamer vs makeup guru vs ranter, etc.

Depending on what holds your interests the most should probably be what you pick, but there is no reason you can't do all of them maybe make two channels or scheduled gaming videos, makeup vids, and rants on certain days

Many different channels focus on many topics. I know of one that focuses on gaming lore, tea, culture, foods, and all sorts of things. Another focuses on history, and swing dancing. If your heart is in it, then there is no reason you shouldn't do them all!
