Camtasia - what's wrong with sound?

If I try to use pre-recorded audio track (speech) and combine this with video in Camtasia, the quality of speech changes (frequency I believe). I'm recording with 48000 Hz, which should work fine, but doesn't. Any solution?

Problem doesn't occur when I implement music track.

Solution = use Sony Vegas

camtasia is not for serious video editing. really, go for sony vegas or adobe premiere
