Well, it depends on the network you go with and the size of your channel. Networks can usually help with things such as click-bomb protection, they can provide free channel art, usually have higher CPMs because they have their own ad sales team which gets better ads than google adsense. Theres a whole load of reasons really, you have to do your research.
I wanna get partnered real bad to get those extra features
There is a difference between being desperate for partners and having a good start as a CA. If we need to try built a reputation, how are we going to get known other than partnering many people from the start?
Maybe Centus should add more to their recruitment messages. Given how many times people are asking what Centus is here and whether it is a scam or not kind of indicates that there isn't enough information given. I received a Centus invitation message, it was kind of short. You should mention being under ForelaDigital and talk about their stats and reputation and other stuff to give people more information. People might not even bother to visit the site if they aren't sure about it.
From what I was told the network itself has been active for less than a week including the MCN. Seems as though a short time for anyone here to jump to conclusions, or invest a well-created channel into. Just my take, open to hearing thoughts.
