In some ways the new layout is nice. In other ways not so much...
It might be me, but it looks like the channel banner is bigger which can be a good thing. But the amount of free space and redundant buttons are absurd...

I don't care about the playlists. I like to go straight to my subscriptions and see the new vids they made. But now I have to click on the subscriptions button, which opens up a new page, and find the subscriptions I want to check out.

I have to admit at first i didnt like the new layout but i guess it has grown on me now as it makes the site more compact
