Adwords effective?

So, Always popping up on my youtube account is the option to promote my video on adwords,
Now i wanted to know how effective would this be? If lets say i pay 50 dollars for this , as you can select a budget, whats the amount of views will it bring? and how much interaction ? is it worth it ?

If you choose to make it the top of video searches ad, yes, if you make it a Inside someone elses video ad, i for one will skip the hell out of it to get to see what i came to see.
