Hey Congrats! 5000 is impressive. I'm wondering if you are able to point to any variable on your part as a culprit for the decrease in pace? Would love to learn from other Youtubers as early as possible in the game =)

Thanks for the congrats! Your question is easy to answer in my case, but it can vary from creator to creator. From around 150 to 4000 subscribers I was almost solely focused on one game. I, along with one other creator were basically the owners of it on YouTube, and I'm sure we shared most of our fan bases. The growth slowed down for two reasons. One, I was starting to hit the limit on subscriber growth for the game (it was a somewhat popular one, but not big enough on YouTube; a huge percentage of its player base is Chinese). And two, I decided to quit playing the game, realizing I had pretty much exhausted all I could out of it (in terms of growth and possible content I could make). This was a big hit naturally. Most of my subscribers only cared about the one game. This is what's really hard about being a YouTube gamer unless you can bring something really special to the table. I'm now focusing on different games. Trying to keep a good balance. Growth is picking back up again though, and I think I'm gaining more subscribers who care about me as much as what I'm playing (hopefully).
Well done man! I have just passed 200 subs myself. Good luck growing more. 5000 subscribers is an absolutely amazing milestone to hit and hopefully it’ll motivate you to become even bigger! Youtube is hard work but if you can make it work for you, you’ll go big. Good luck for the future. And congrats on the milestone!
