You may want to revise your post. The majority (dare I say all) YouTube advertising is done via CPM or Cost Per Mille, $ per 1000 views.

There are advertising methods that utilize CPC or Cost per click.

Well I have gotten in the month of january 33k ish monetizable views ... I only made two dollars all in all. .

I would wait one more month to see if there is some carry-over because of the transition but it is definitely strange that you would only get $2.
