Youtubers that cause a flooding on your news feed?

I'd just like to know what's your opinion on this.

I recently subbed to another small youtuber, because I liked their videos. They're funny and all, but little did I know they were one of those people that flood your news feed with commenting under other videos saying "Check out my channel! New videos then and then!"
Every once in a while when they get online, they take time to do this. Of course I could just check 'show uploads only', but I do like to see what other people I'm subbed to are doing, 'cause sometimes they direct me to new and awesome videos.
This one youtuber is getting a little annoying, though. Many times I've thought of unsubscribing because of this. What should I do? I can't just message them and tell them to shut the hell up, can I? That would just be rude. But I can't tell them to turn off their comments and likes either, because they might not want to do that.

PS: I hope I myself have not caused a flooding on someone's feed! Because I do 'like' and 'favourite' other videos quite a lot...

I think youtube should go back to earlier and only show what they uploaded, because some youtubers are very active and I don't want to see that, and I miss uploads thanks to that.

There's not really much you can do. YouTube should re-implement the ability to X out certain things.

Well you don't have to pay attention to all of that. I would just ignore it if you truly do like their content. If not, unsubscribing is not that big of a deal in my opinion.
