YouTube video of stills not smooth after FCX export

I have a series of videos that I have uploaded to YouTube, they are made up of entirely high-resolution images (which have been shrunk a bit in Photoshop). The images are mostly panned throughout the video, and appear a bit choppy at times on YouTube, obviously varying from what I am seeing in FCX.
I have tried pretty much all the types of exports, and have even tried re-exporting the video through Photoshop (it has more export options that FCX?) This obviously degrades the images a bit, but still results in some lag in YouTube video.
What am I missing / what is the optimal way to export videos of just still images?
Being that the photos are of such high quality, I'm trying to keep them as clear and smooth moving as possible.
Thanks!
